Will this baking pan fit in your oven?
Compare outside pan dimensions with usable oven space, including rotation and the clearance you enter.
Measure between obstructions, not the oven exterior.
Leave room for the door to close.
Enter your oven manual’s required spacing. The default is an example, not a recommendation.

Give your pan a trial fit
Slide the pan into a cutaway oven. Compare another size or turn the view to see its footprint.
17.9 × 12.9 in · Fits with the entered clearance. Height is illustrative.
The illustration accompanies the results below. Illustrations are schematic.
Pan fit result
Fits these dimensions
Oven: 20 × 15 in. Pan: 17.9 × 12.9 in. Clearance: 0.5 in at each edge.
After clearance, 1.1 in extra width and 1.1 in extra depth.
This checks a rectangular footprint. Confirm pan height, rack position, handles, heating-element clearance, and material suitability in your oven’s manual before cooking.
Outside measurements: Nordic Ware Naturals half sheet manufacturer specifications. Checked 2026-10-13.

Measure the space you can actually use
Measure usable width and front-to-back depth at the rack where the pan will sit. Include the pan’s outside rim and handles. The checker subtracts your clearance twice from each oven dimension, then compares both the straight and 90-degree orientations.
Worked example
A 17.9 × 12.9-inch pan fits a 20 × 15-inch space with ½ inch allowed at every edge: the remaining usable footprint is 19 × 14 inches. A pan that fits only after rotation is labeled that way.
Does a geometric fit mean the pan is suitable for my oven?
You still need to check height, heating elements, rack supports, airflow, and whether the pan material is permitted. Use the oven manufacturer’s required clearances. This tool compares footprints and does not certify a particular oven-and-pan combination.
